So, it’s probably apparent by now, but I have essentially put this project “on hold” until further notice (I’m trying to let myself down softly, okay?) I’ve decided to move to Vancouver, making my life rather hectic until the end of June (and beyond, depending on how long it takes to get settled).
I really had fun at the beginning of this project and I sincerely appreciate all of the support I have received from friends and strangers. I wish I could keep going, but I had started to feel like the work was shitty and I was no longer finding any of it to be fun. That’s not why I started the project. I started it because the creative side of my brain was bored and I was living all alone in a tiny one-room apartment - two things that have drastically changed since January 1.
Maybe I will resume the project or start again - who knows. I do know that not Making Something Cool Every Day doesn’t mean that I will stop making things. Not having a full-time job will mean some freelancing that I can share with everyone and also a bit more time to take photographs and make things (until I get another full time job).
Bottom line is: I failed. Now I’m going to move on. Oh, but I’m not giving up this blog … yet. I blog here, too and you can check in for more regular update-y things there, but I think I might use this blog to post things I make in the future. So please keep me on your dashboards and readers. I also have a flickr, that I’ll be using for photos (ew, facebook) of my trip out west and my life out there. Please check that and add me as a contact if you want!
I PROMISE TO KEEP MAKING THINGS!
